Happy Love Day!
In 25 years as a Feng Shui Designer, the one area I’ve seen transform most often for my clients is ROMANCE.
So, here’s my Romance Refresh. It will take about one hour (with some items possibly taking longer) but in that time, you can arrange your space to attract new love into your life, or give your relationship an exciting jolt.⚡⚡
Feng Shui Bedroom Checklist
There are two types of Feng Shui: Form Feng Shui and Flying Star Feng Shui. Let’s start with Form Feng Shui, because these are easy things you can do right away to improve the energy:
1. Use soft lighting, such as table lamps and wall sconces. Avoid bright overhead recessed ceiling lights in the bedroom, though one pretty ceiling pendant or chandelier is fine. Put all lights on dimmer switches.
2. Luxurious bedding (no stains or tears).
3. Soft rug or carpet. Aim to have at least half the floor covered, especially right next to the bed so that your feet touch a cozy rug first thing in the morning.
4. Room should feel fully private – use good drapes or shades.
Consider top down window shades if you want privacy as well as views of sky and tree tops. The bedroom should get fully dark, possibly use black out shades or drapes.
5. Nothing under the bed 
period.
6. Hang artwork that promotes romance, or hang two related pieces of art, representing couple energy.
7. Place bed in the “Power Position” (which means you should see people enter the room before they see you). The ideal location is diagonally across the room from the door. Headboard should be up against a wall, not under a window.
8. Do not have a mirror directly across from bed.
9. Go for lots of soft textures: tactile fabrics, drapes, rug, upholstered headboard. Avoid sharp or pointed items, opt for rounded corners on the bed, side tables, etc.
10. For a balanced relationship, make sure there are two nightstands, two table lamps, and enough room on either side of the bed so each of you can easily enter and exit the bed.

Romance tip for 2025: the key spot that you should activate in order to attract and support romance this year is in the Southeast section of your home.
The Southeast is especially strong for romantic love, as well as creativity, writing, and fame. If your bedroom is in the southeast, you’ll be doubly lucky this year!
Enhance this good energy by adding Wood and/or Water elements to the Southeast.
Wood element is represented by living plants, fresh cut flowers, or the color green. Water element can be an indoor fountain, an aquarium, or images of water in artwork. (Avoid a fountain in the bedroom as the noise can disturb sleep.) Best colors are blue or black, and can be incorporated into bedding, throw pillows, artwork and other accessories.
