A Feng Shui tip for family harmony this season
We all know that “the most wonderful time of the year” can easily become the most stressful. To stay in the spirit, here’s a quick tip:
Based on the Flying Star feng shui energy for 2025, there is the chance of arguments or misunderstandings among family members in the Northwest part of the home.
Remedy this, and create more harmony and understanding this holiday season, by adding the element WATER in the Northwest area.
Water can be a small table top fountain or bowl of fresh water containing floating flowers 💦 or artwork with images of water. You can also add the colors blue or black in your accessories such as pillows, rug, or furnishings to represent the water element.
A little feng shui, along with an intention to see the best in others (and in our self) can go a long way.
Holiday contemplation ~ the Italian art of going slow: “senza fretta”
Having just returned from a beautiful trip to Italy, I felt senza fretta viscerally. It technically means “to be calm, without hurry” and being in Italy brought me face to face with my own addiction to doing.
Now that I’m home, I’ve been journaling about why I feel an obligation to be productive. What do I feel I need to prove? Who am I trying to please? These can be provocative questions, but I found them worth exploring.
During the holidays, it’s easy to get caught up in the whirlwind of shopping, family events, and being everything to everyone. I invite you to bring the words “senza fretta” into your next mediation, and ask your higher self where you might be able to let go and simply be present. (pun intended)
